The picture of the firemen and the mailbox are both forums. These can be set up for communication with personally defined groups of people, such as a group of friends with a particular association (family, school, work, church, etc). Members can post messages that all other members will be able to read next time they log on. The only requirements are that you register with tripod.com, have everyone you would like to participate in the forum register, and then mail all their usernames to me so I can put them on a privacy list. The mailbox is already set up as our family forum. In order for you to access it, I need your username. Butch and I have started it off with an initial post about our year. Snoopy and the map to Pooh Bear's friends' houses are chat rooms, which can also be set up for use by certain groups of registered people (or one person and yourself). Snoopy is ready to be used as a chat room for family only. Your username will work for both the forum and the chat room. Over time, it may become clear to you how you want to use these mediums, if you do, to communicate with other groups of people in your life... I am always open for changes and new names - it only takes a second to set up.
Everything is changeable! Not keen on NPR? It can be replaced with whatever your main news source is. Do the links, Bored, Did you Know, etc. not interest you? They can also be replaced. Would you rather have photos of family, friends or pets? Send me either the photo itself (they will be returned!) or email ones you've already scanned in, and soon you will see them on your page. Do you need more drop down lists of links for other categories - school or work related sites? - just send me the links and a note with how you want it labelled (use the form to the left). Do you have a search engine you prefer over Google? - that can also be replaced. You can make this page whatever you want it to be. Whatever phenomena you've seen on other web sites (including any pictures you like on them) can, within my present capabilities and resources, appear here. Even the color can be changed! Be bold! Make this your page!
